T-strainer with PFA-lined body and removable PTFE basket — keeps solids away from pumps, control valves, flowmeters and dosing equipment in corrosive lines. The basket is pulled from the top without removing the strainer from the line. One page for both norms: choose the size (EN or ASME), lining and basket (type and mesh), and send the configuration as a request for quotation.
Features
Virgin PFA lining
Body lined with virgin PFA. PFA/AS (antistatic) for media where electrostatic charge must be led off.
Suitable for vacuum service
PFA lining anchored in dovetail grooves in the body — suitable for vacuum service; limits per P-T diagram or on request.
Basket pulled from the top
The strainer stays in the line. Impurities are removed with the basket, so there is no need to drain the pipeline or dispose of residual medium.
Replaceable, cleanable basket
PTFE or PTFE-carbon composite basket; cleaned or exchanged on site. Also available as a spare part.
ETFE filter mesh 85 – 2000 µm
Mesh to suit the particle size, usable to +150 °C. Custom mesh to +200 °C; nickel alloy element as an option above +150 °C.
Sight glass add-on
The dirt level in the strainer can be checked visually. A FEP foil liner keeps the glass out of contact with the medium.
Two flange standards
EN 1092-1 PN 16 and ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF, from one page.
Pressure-tested, certified
Pressure test to DIN EN 12266-1, EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. Designed and manufactured to PED 2014/68/EU.

FAQ
Questions we are often asked
Which basket and bottom cover should I choose?
Three choices. Basket type: PTFE or PTFE-carbon composite. Mesh: ETFE filter mesh from 85 to 2000 µm — choose the mesh from the size of the particles you need to retain: a finer mesh retains smaller particles and fills sooner, a coarser mesh passes finer particles and runs longer between cleanings. The mesh is usable to +150 °C; for higher temperatures a custom mesh (to +200 °C) is available. Bottom cover: standard or flush. A flush bottom cover has a drain bore with a DN 15 or DN 25 connection, so a ball valve can be fitted to drain the strainer and flush out the collected content — the basket is cleaned without removing the top cover. The bottom cover, including the bore, is fully PFA-lined. The drain valve itself is not included; we supply it on request.
PFA or PFA/AS lining?
PFA (virgin PFA) is the standard lining. PFA/AS is the antistatic version for media where electrostatic charge must be led off. PVDF is also listed for the body lining; ask us if your medium calls for it.
Can the Purion9 be used under vacuum?
PFA lining anchored in dovetail grooves in the body — suitable for vacuum service; limits per P-T diagram or on request.
How is the basket cleaned or exchanged?
Pull the basket from the top; the strainer stays in the line. Impurities are removed with the basket, and a clean or spare basket is fitted. Baskets are also available as spare parts.
Which documents come with each strainer?
Every strainer is pressure-tested to DIN EN 12266-1 and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. It is designed and manufactured to PED 2014/68/EU.
PFA or PTFE lining — what is the difference?
Both are fully fluorinated plastics with almost universal chemical resistance. PTFE cannot be melted, so PTFE liners are pressed and sintered. PFA can be melted, so we transfer-mould it into the valve body: the lining is dense, anchored in the body and follows complex shapes. If your specification says "PTFE-lined", a PFA-lined valve meets the same chemical duty — ask us for a comparison for your medium.
