Globe control valve with PFA-lined body, PFA bellows stem seal and characterised plug for regulating corrosive media — from micro flows to DN 100. For dosing and pH control and for flow and pressure control in acid and caustic lines, with a pneumatic actuator. One page for both norms: choose the size (EN or ASME), lining and trim, and send the configuration as a request for quotation — name the actuator make and control signal if the valve is to be actuated.

FAQ
Questions we are often asked
Which trim should I choose?
The standard plug + seat is the general trim; the V-plug is for small flow rates (rangeability 1:100, Kvs from 0.01 m³/h); the U-plug is available for DN 80 / DN 100 (NPS 3 / NPS 4) only. V- and U-plugs are made for small flow rates, cavitation risk and high differential pressure. All trims have PFA heavy-duty bellows, and seat and plug can be exchanged to adjust the Kvs value. State the flow, the inlet and outlet pressure and the medium in your request and we confirm the trim.
PFA or PFA/AS lining?
PFA is the standard lining. PFA/AS is the antistatic version for media where electrostatic charge must be led off. PVDF is available on request.
Which actuator and signal do you supply?
Pneumatic or electric actuators, with positioners for HART, Profibus PA or Foundation Fieldbus. Name the actuator make and the control signal in your request.
Can the Imperium9 be used under vacuum?
The PFA lining is anchored in dovetail grooves in the body and is suitable for vacuum service; vacuum duty needs the special bellows. Vacuum limits depend on temperature — see the vacuum diagram, or ask us for your conditions.
Which size should I choose, DN or NPS?
Choose the size by the connection norm of your line: DN sizes have EN 1092-1 PN 16 flanges, NPS sizes ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges. The dimension table lists both.
Which documents come with each valve?
Every valve is pressure-tested in Germany before shipment and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. The Imperium9 is designed and manufactured to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
PFA or PTFE lining — what is the difference?
Both are fully fluorinated plastics with almost universal chemical resistance. PTFE cannot be melted, so PTFE liners are pressed and sintered. PFA can be melted, so we transfer-mould it into the valve body: the lining is dense, anchored in the body and follows complex shapes. If your specification says "PTFE-lined", a PFA-lined valve meets the same chemical duty — ask us for a comparison for your medium.
