Compact basket strainer on the PFA-lined globe body of the Imperium9 control valve: a PTFE sandwich basket screws into the seat thread of the body — no bonnet trim, no bellows. For corrosive lines with clean media, where the basket is cleaned during planned maintenance. Same face-to-face as the Imperium9 (EN 558-1 Series 1). One page for both norms: choose the size (EN or ASME), lining and basket, and send the configuration as a request for quotation — state medium, pressure, temperature and mesh size.
Features
Same body as the Imperium9
Same PFA-lined globe body, top flange and face-to-face as the Imperium9 control valve (EN 558-1 Series 1) — see dimension sheet GFT9-PUC-DIM-001.
Virgin PFA lining
Body lined with virgin PFA, transfer-moulded and anchored in the body. PFA/AS (antistatic) for media where electrostatic charge must be led off.
Sandwich basket as standard
Inner and outer perforated tube in PTFE or PTFE-carbon with the ETFE filter mesh between; the mesh ends are locked by two PTFE round cords — see sectional drawing GFT9-PUC-DS-001.
Screw-in foot ring
The basket foot ring screws into the seat thread of the body. No bonnet trim and no bellows — fewer parts than a control valve or a T-strainer.
ETFE filter mesh 85 – 2000 µm
Mesh size per order, chosen for the particle size; usable to +150 °C. Other screens on request.
Drilled basket as variant
One drilled PTFE or PTFE-carbon tube in the same seat thread, instead of the sandwich basket.
Top entry, free height on the sheet
Blind cover off, basket lifted out. The free height HR per size is given in GFT9-PUC-DIM-001 — from 276 mm (DN 25) to 528 mm (DN 100).
Pressure-tested, certified
Pressure test to DIN EN 12266-1, EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. Designed and manufactured to PED 2014/68/EU.

Questions we are often asked
Which strainer — Purion9 T-strainer or Purion9 Compact?
Both are PFA-lined strainers with PTFE or PTFE-carbon baskets and ETFE filter mesh. Basket change: on the Purion9 T-strainer the basket is pulled from the top while the strainer stays in the line; on the Purion9 Compact the blind cover is taken off with the line out of service. Flush / drain: the T-strainer offers a flush bottom cover with a DN 15 or DN 25 drain bore; the Compact has no flush option. Sizes: T-strainer DN 25 – 150 / NPS 1" – 6"; Compact DN 25 – 100 / NPS 1" – 4". Best for: the T-strainer for frequent cleaning, dirty media and in-service access; the Compact for clean media, cleaning during planned maintenance and a compact build with fewer parts. At DN 100 both have a face-to-face length of 350 mm.
How is the basket changed?
Take the line out of service, remove the blind cover and lift the basket out. The free height needed above the flow axis (HR, incl. 20 mm clearance) is DN 25 276 mm · DN 40 344 mm · DN 50 358 mm · DN 80 519 mm · DN 100 528 mm. Clean the basket or fit a spare, then close the cover. Spare baskets and gaskets on request.
Sandwich basket or drilled basket?
The sandwich basket is the standard: inner and outer perforated tube with an ETFE filter mesh between, mesh size 85 – 2000 µm chosen for the particles you need to retain — a finer mesh retains smaller particles and fills sooner. The drilled basket is one drilled PTFE or PTFE-carbon tube in the same thread. Both are made in PTFE or PTFE-carbon; name the material and the mesh size in your request.
What pressure and temperature is the Purion9 Compact rated for?
PN 16 / Class 150: 16 bar from −10 °C to 100 °C, then down in a straight line to 6 bar at 200 °C. The filter mesh sets the upper limit: ETFE mesh to 150 °C, PTFE mesh to 200 °C. Below −10 °C the 1.0619 body is rated 12 bar down to −60 °C (AD 2000-Merkblatt W 10); 1.4408 bodies carry the full rating. Full vacuum (1 mbar abs) up to 100 °C. See the P-T diagram GFT9-PUC-PTD-001.
Which documents come with each strainer?
Every strainer is pressure-tested to DIN EN 12266-1 and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. It is designed and manufactured to PED 2014/68/EU. Dimension sheet and sectional drawing: see Documents.
