When a part is no longer available or hard to source: measured from the original, redrawn and built to the same fit and function — drawing on our experience with our own parts.
Reverse engineering keeps your plant running when original spare parts are no longer available or are hard to get. We measure the original part — also by optical scanning and also from heavily worn samples — redraw it and build it to the same fit and function, with PFA transfer moulding and our own precision machining.
We draw on our experience with our own parts: the baskets, PTFE parts, seats and lined parts of GFT9 valves and strainers. The examples below show the kind of solutions we make — lined impellers, tank lids, valve parts and pump parts. Small batches are possible; where your demand can be planned, we can keep parts in stock for you. We are open for requests.
We measure the original part, also by optical scanning — heavily worn samples included. A drawing helps, but is not needed.
2
Design
The part is redrawn, and the material is chosen with you — from PFA to SSiC, steels and composites.
3
Machining and lining
Machined and PFA-lined in one house, to the same fit and function as the original part.
4
Testing
Dimensional inspection (ISO 2768) and optical inspection. With the part you receive equivalence documentation, gauges and first-article records for your own qualification.
Why GFT9
Why GFT9 for reverse engineering
Experience from our own parts
We make the baskets, PTFE parts, seats and lined parts of our own valves and strainers. The same know-how goes into every reverse-engineered part.
From the worn original
We measure the original part, also by optical scanning — heavily worn samples included.
Machining and lining in one house
Planning and design, machining, PFA lining and testing are done in one house in Germany.
Support for your qualification
Equivalence documentation, gauges and first-article records, so that your own qualification of the replacement part runs smoothly.
Model case and spare parts
Where to go next
Model case: a lined impeller
A lined impeller for a magnetic-drive pump, measured from the original part, redrawn, PFA-lined and finished in house, and supplied with equivalence documentation, gauges and first-article records for the customer's own qualification of the replacement. Open for requests.
Send us the worn or soon-to-be-replaced part. We measure it, document the geometry and materials, and keep the record on file — the basis for your equivalence approval later. Then we manufacture the replacement: strainer baskets, lined impellers, SSiC shafts, bearings and bushes, containment shells and other lined or machined parts. Ask for your pump or strainer type.
Lined impellers, SSiC shafts, bearings and bushes, containment shells, tank lids, and valve and strainer parts. For other parts, send us a sample and a description of the equipment and the medium.
Do you need a drawing?
No. A sample of the original part is the starting point; we measure it, also by optical scanning, and redraw it. Heavily worn samples can be used.
Will the part fit my pump?
The part is built to the same fit and function as the original part. Dimensional inspection (ISO 2768) and optical inspection are part of our quality checks.
Do you support the approval of a replacement part?
We support your own qualification of the replacement part: with the part we supply equivalence documentation, gauges and first-article records. The approval itself stays with you.
Can I order small quantities?
Yes, small batches are possible. Where your demand can be planned, we can keep parts in stock for you.
Send us your part
Tell us the equipment, the part and the quantity, and send a sample if you can. We respond with an individual offer.
