Ball check valve with PFA-lined body: the ball lifts with forward flow and seats against reverse flow. No hinge, no external parts and no actuation — a simple check for dosing-pump discharges, small transfer lines and chemical injection. One page for both norms: choose the size (EN or ASME) and lining, and send the configuration as a request for quotation.
Features
Virgin PFA lining
Body lined with virgin PFA, transfer-moulded and mechanically anchored in the body; PFA/AS antistatic lining as the second option.
Suitable for vacuum service
PFA lining anchored in dovetail grooves in the body — suitable for vacuum service; limits per P-T diagram or on request.
One moving part
Centre-guided ball, no external actuation — low maintenance.
Vertical and horizontal installation
For uncomplicated installation in all environments; horizontal installation needs a minimum differential pressure of 1 bar.
Closes automatically, vertical
Installed vertically (up to 60°), the centre-guided ball closes the valve automatically.
Closes automatically, horizontal
Installed horizontally (90° to 60°), the valve closes if the backflow is 1.5 – 2.5 m/s (water based).
Leakage class D
Controlled and minimal leakage (<0.1 % of valve capacity).
Sight glass add-on
Quick visual check of media flow and valve operation without system disassembly.

FAQ
Questions we are often asked
PFA or PFA/AS lining?
PFA is the standard lining. PFA/AS is the antistatic version for media where electrostatic charge must be led off. FEP, PP and PVDF are available on request.
How do I install the Prohibron9?
Vertically (up to 60°) the centre-guided ball closes the valve automatically. Horizontally (90° to 60°) it closes if the backflow is 1.5 – 2.5 m/s (water based), and a minimum differential pressure of 1 bar is required.
Which size should I choose, DN or NPS?
Choose the size by the connection norm of your line: DN sizes have EN 1092-1 PN 16 flanges, NPS sizes ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges. The dimension table lists both.
Can I see whether the valve is working?
Yes. A sight glass add-on enables a quick visual check of media flow and valve operation without system disassembly. A FEP foil liner keeps the glass out of contact with the medium. Mention the add-on in your request.
Which documents come with each valve?
Valves are tested to DIN EN 12266-1 and ship with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. The Prohibron9 is designed and manufactured to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
PFA or PTFE lining — what is the difference?
Both are fully fluorinated plastics with almost universal chemical resistance. PTFE cannot be melted, so PTFE liners are pressed and sintered. PFA can be melted, so we transfer-mould it into the valve body: the lining is dense, anchored in the body and follows complex shapes. If your specification says "PTFE-lined", a PFA-lined valve meets the same chemical duty — ask us for a comparison for your medium.
