PFA-Lined Strainers and Baskets

T-strainers with PFA-lined body and removable PTFE basket, plus replacement baskets, to keep solids out of pumps, valves and instruments.

A strainer protects pumps, control valves, flowmeters and dosing equipment from solids in corrosive lines. The Purion9 T-strainer has a PFA-lined body and a removable PTFE basket that is pulled from the top, so the strainer stays in the line.

Baskets are also sold on their own, in PTFE and as an antistatic version, so you can keep a clean spare on the shelf. Choose size (EN or ASME), lining and basket on the product page and send the configuration as a request for quotation. Made in Germany; every strainer is pressure-tested in Germany before shipment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which basket and mesh should I choose?

Basket type is PTFE or PTFE-carbon composite. The ETFE filter mesh runs from 85 to 2000 µm: a finer mesh retains smaller particles and fills sooner, a coarser mesh runs longer between cleanings. The mesh is usable to +150 °C; for higher temperatures a custom mesh (to +200 °C) is available.

How is the basket cleaned or exchanged?

Pull the basket from the top; the strainer stays in the line. Impurities are removed with the basket, and a clean or spare basket is fitted. Baskets are also available as spare parts.

Can the strainer be used under vacuum?

PFA lining anchored in dovetail grooves in the body — suitable for vacuum service; limits per P-T diagram or on request.

PFA or PFA/AS lining?

PFA is the standard lining. PFA/AS is the antistatic version for media where electrostatic charge must be led off. Other linings are available on request on several lines; name the one you need in your request.

Can I see when the strainer needs cleaning?

Yes. A sight glass add-on lets you check the dirt level without opening the strainer. A FEP foil liner keeps the glass out of contact with the medium.

Which documents come with each strainer?

Every strainer is pressure-tested to DIN EN 12266-1 in Germany before shipment and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. The Purion9 is designed and manufactured to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
