Features

Virgin PFA lining

Body and disc lined with virgin PFA for high corrosion and permeation resistance; PFA/AS (antistatic) where the installation requires it.

Wafer and lug versions

Wafer body for clamping between flanges, or lug body with tapped holes, to EN 1092-1 PN 10 or ASME B16.5 Class 150.

Short face-to-face

ISO 5752 basic series 20 (EN 558-1 series 20) for easy handling, installation and reduced piping stress.

Optimised disc design

Low-torque disc that reduces actuator load and keeps operation smooth.

Vertical and horizontal installation

Uncomplicated installation in all orientations, adapting to various piping configurations.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked

Wafer or lug design?

The wafer body is clamped between two pipe flanges. The lug body has tapped holes, to EN 1092-1 PN 10 or ASME B16.5 Class 150. Choose the design in the configurator. The dimension table lists the wafer body; lug dimensions on request.

PFA or PFA/AS lining?

PFA is the standard lining. PFA/AS is the antistatic version for media where electrostatic charge must be led off; PTFE/AS packing is available for the stem seal. PVDF and UHMW-PE are available on request.

Which size should I choose, DN or NPS?

Choose the size by the connection norm of your line: DN sizes are for EN 1092-1 PN 10 flanges, NPS sizes for ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges. Other drillings on request. The dimension table lists both.

How is the Papilon9 operated?

Lever with locking and adjustable positions for manual duty; gearbox or actuator on an EN ISO 5211 top flange (F05 – F16 by size, stem double-D or square) for automated duty. Throttling is possible with lever positions or an actuator. Mention actuator make and control signal in your request.

Is there an ATEX or TA-Luft version?

ATEX and TA-Luft versions are available on request. Tell us the requirement in your request.

Which documents come with each valve?

Every valve is pressure-tested in Germany before shipment, with a seat leakage test to DIN EN 12266-1, and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. The Papilon9 is designed and manufactured to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.

PFA or PTFE lining — what is the difference?

Both are fully fluorinated plastics with almost universal chemical resistance. PTFE cannot be melted, so PTFE liners are pressed and sintered. PFA can be melted, so we transfer-mould it into the valve body: the lining is dense, anchored in the body and follows complex shapes. If your specification says "PTFE-lined", a PFA-lined valve meets the same chemical duty — ask us for a comparison for your medium.
