PFA-Lined Sample Valve Provaron9
Gas-tight bellows seal · flanged · DN 25 – 80 / NPS 1" – 3" · PN 16 / Class 150 · for corrosive, toxic and high-purity media
Solutions · Sampling and visual control
Take samples from lined lines without opening the system, and see flow, colour and level through two glass windows — in standard and Clean Room Series versions.
Provaron9 sample valves take a sample from a lined line without opening the system. Body and sample path are lined with virgin PFA, and a gas-tight PTFE bellows seals the stem. Videron9 sight glasses give an unobstructed view of the medium through two borosilicate glass windows, for checking flow, colour and level. Sample valves are built for DN 25 – 80, sight glasses for DN 15 – 250.
Both lines come as a standard version and as a Clean Room Series version with an electropolished 1.4408 (CF8M) body. Each is offered to EN and ASME flange standards on one product page: choose size, lining and options, and send the configuration as a request for quotation. Every valve is pressure-tested in Germany before shipment.

The Clean Room versions of the sample valve and sight glass have an electropolished 1.4408 (CF8M) stainless steel body instead of a painted one. The PFA-lined path and the sizes are those of the standard line.
The sample valve has a GL connection for a standard bottle to DIN 168, with vent connection. A customised bottle connection can be made to suit your existing system.
Leaflets and user manuals for the sample valve and the sight glass are available for download.

FAQ
A sample valve takes a sample of the medium into a bottle without opening the line. A sight glass lets you look at the medium in the line, to check flow, colour and level. Both are often used at the same points, for example at loading and transfer lines, column and reactor outlets and sampling points.
The body is stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M), electropolished instead of painted. The PFA-lined parts and the sizes are those of the standard version. On request: FDA declaration for the PFA wetted parts and USP Class VI documentation.
Virgin PFA is the standard lining. PFA/AS (antistatic) is for media where electrostatic charge must be led off. Other linings, such as PVDF, PP and UHMW-PE, are available on request.
In the standard version the glass is in contact with the medium. With the FEP foil liner option, a fluoropolymer foil keeps the glass out of contact with the medium. Choose it for hydrofluoric acid and other media that attack glass, and tell us your medium so that we can confirm the choice.
PFA lining anchored in dovetail grooves in the body is suitable for vacuum service. Limits are given in the P-T diagram or on request.
Every valve is pressure-tested in Germany before shipment, to DIN EN 12266-1. EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are available. The valves are designed and manufactured to PED 2014/68/EU.
