Diaphragm valve with PFA-lined body: the diaphragm separates the medium from the bonnet and operator, so no stem passes through the wetted space. For acid and caustic dosing, slurries with fine solids and utility lines, as an isolation or throttling valve. One page for both norms: choose the size (EN or ASME), lining and operation, and send the configuration as a request for quotation.
Features
Virgin PFA lining
Body lined with virgin PFA, transfer-moulded and mechanically anchored in the body; PFA/AS antistatic lining as the second option.
Diaphragm separates the medium
The diaphragm isolates the working parts from the medium; no stem passes through the wetted space.
Isolation and throttling
For corrosive, pure and ultra-pure liquids, gases and vapours.
Top entry, low maintenance
The diaphragm is replaced through the top of the valve; the valve can stay in the line.
Weir-type design
Weir-type body, for isolation and throttling.
Visual travel indicator
Bright yellow position indicator for a quick check of valve status.
Flexible installation
Independent of flow direction; hand-operated valves in any position, vertical or horizontal pipes; self-draining in the open state in vertical pipes.
Operation to suit the line
Handwheel or actuated — with positioner or limit switches where the line is automated; bridge for your own actuator.

FAQ
Questions we are often asked
Which operation should I choose?
Handwheel for manual isolation or throttling; with a handwheel you can add a positioner (mechanical or electric). For automated duty choose a pneumatic or electric actuator, the electric actuator also with an electronic positioner. Choose “Bridge for actuator mounting” if you fit your own actuator. Which operations are available can depend on the size — mention your size in the request.
PFA or PFA/AS lining?
PFA is the standard lining. PFA/AS is the antistatic version for media where electrostatic charge must be led off. PVDF is available on request.
What pressure and temperature can the Membron9 take?
It depends on the size. The P-T diagram shows the limits per size; for a size or condition you cannot read from it, ask us. Send size, medium, temperature and pressure with your request.
Which size should I choose, DN or NPS?
Choose the size by the connection norm of your line: DN sizes have EN 1092-1 PN 16 flanges, NPS sizes ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges. The dimension table lists both. The range ends at DN 150 / NPS 6.
Can the Membron9 throttle?
Yes. It is used for isolation and throttling. With a handwheel you set the opening by hand; with an actuator and positioner the opening is set by the control signal.
Which documents come with each valve?
Every valve is pressure-tested in Germany before shipment, to DIN EN 12266-1, and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. The Membron9 is designed and manufactured to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
PFA or PTFE lining — what is the difference?
Both are fully fluorinated plastics with almost universal chemical resistance. PTFE cannot be melted, so PTFE liners are pressed and sintered. PFA can be melted, so we transfer-mould it into the valve body: the lining is dense, anchored in the body and follows complex shapes. If your specification says "PTFE-lined", a PFA-lined valve meets the same chemical duty — ask us for a comparison for your medium.
