PFA-Lined Stainless Steel Valves and Components for Clean Rooms
PFA inside, electropolished stainless steel outside — planned with you, built to your line
In a clean room, a valve has two jobs: keep aggressive chemicals contained, and add nothing to the room or to the fluid.
GFT9 Clean Room Series valves pair a PFA-lined wetted path with an electropolished stainless steel body in 1.4408. There is no paint to chip or flake, and the medium touches nothing but fluoropolymer.
Where a standard part does not fit, we plan the component with you from scratch — special connections, lengths and geometries, in stainless steel or other alloys — and build it in our own lining shop, from single pieces and small batches to series.
One material against the medium. The full wetted path — body lining and ball or plug — is PFA. Acids, alkalis, oxidisers and solvents used for etching, cleaning and dosing see the same fluoropolymer, so one valve design covers many chemicals.
No paint on the outside. Standard lined valves have painted carbon steel bodies. In a clean room, paint is a source of particles once it is scratched or ages. The Clean Room Series body is stainless steel 1.4408 (CF-8M), electropolished instead of painted.
Documentation for regulated plants. Every valve is pressure-tested to DIN EN 12266-1 and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. For pharma and food-contact service, an FDA conformity declaration for the PFA wetted parts and USP Class VI documentation are available on request.
Built in-house. Tooling, moulding and assembly are in-house. That is what makes special connections, short lead times on custom parts and repeatable series possible.
Applications
Where Our Components Are Used
Chemical distribution
Isolation, sampling and visual flow checks in the lines that supply acids, alkalis and solvents to tools and process equipment.
Wet benches and process skids
Compact lined valves and custom lined fittings built into equipment by skid and tool manufacturers.
Pharma and biotech utilities
Corrosive-media lines in production and laboratory areas — for example cleaning chemicals and pH adjustment.
Sampling points
Sample valves for taking representative samples from lined lines without opening the system.
Custom lined components — from prototype to series
Tees, reducers, spacers, special flanges and assemblies in sizes and geometries that are not in a catalogue.

PFA is the standard wetted material for high-purity acid, alkali, oxidiser and solvent supply: very low extractables and nothing for the medium to attack. Temperature limits shown are conservative for continuous service. Contact us for your process chemicals.
Excellent full resistance, continuous service · Good suitable for most applications · Limited check the conditions with us. Ratings refer to the PFA lining; the valve's own pressure–temperature rating also applies.

FAQ
Questions we are often asked
What is the GFT9 Clean Room Series?
PFA-lined ball valves, sight glasses and sample valves with electropolished stainless steel 1.4408 bodies — no paint to flake, fluoropolymer on the wetted side.
PFA or PTFE lining — what is the difference?
Both are fully fluorinated plastics with almost universal chemical resistance. PTFE cannot be melted, so PTFE liners are pressed and sintered. PFA can be melted, so we transfer-mould it into the valve body: the lining is dense, anchored in the body and follows complex shapes. If your specification says "PTFE-lined", a PFA-lined valve meets the same chemical duty — ask us for a comparison for your medium.
Which documents come with the valves?
Every valve is tested to DIN EN 12266-1 and ships with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. Pressure-bearing products are designed and manufactured to PED 2014/68/EU; the Spheron9 ball valve is additionally certified under Module A2 and type-tested to TA-Luft. On request we add an FDA conformity declaration for the PFA wetted parts and a TSE/BSE statement.
